BEVERLY MAE HYDE

Beverly Mae Hyde, 64, of Clear Lake, died Tuesday, April 15, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Memorial services Friday, April 15, at the First Congregational Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Inurnment was in the Clear Lake Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of North Iowa or First Congregational Church, Clear Lake. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of services.

She was born Sept. 5, 1929, in rural Klemme, the daughter of William and Bessie (Hoyt) Hampel. She graduated from Ventura High School in 1947. She married Earl Hyde in 1949. To this family four children were born. They lived on a farm north of Clear Lake.

She worked for Ingersoll Flowers for many years in Clear Lake. She was office manager for the First Congregational Church, Clear Lake, for the last 20 years. She held both local and state offices for the church and the Clear Lake V.W.F. Aux. She was a past 4-H leader, past president of the Clear Lake Women’s Club, a member of the Ventura Garden Club and First Congregational Church, Clear Lake.

She is survived by a son, Tom Hyde and his wife, Mary, Clear Lake; two daughters, Marie Carman and her husband, Nelson, Jefferson, Iowa, and Ann Moyer and her husband, Mark, Brashear, Mo.; three sisters, Mildred Ax, Ventura, Iowa, Winifred Pritchard, Osage, Iowa, and Shirley Heuberger, Reno, Nev.; one brother, Arnold “Bub” Hampel and his wife, Dorothy, Garner, Iowa; special niece, Eunice Kinsella, Garner; eight grandchildren, Jesse Hyde, Jack Hyde, James Carman, Cathi Carman, Ben Carman, Ameila Carman, Drew Moyer, and Dani Moyer; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dan Hyde; a brother, Earl Hampel; and one sister, Dorothy “Pete” Foster.
