RAY ROBBINS

CLEAR LAKE – Ray Robbins, 93, of Clear Lake, former Cerro Gordo County Supervisor and member of the Clear Lake school board, died Saturday (Aug. 30, 1980) at a Clear Lake nursing home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Clear Lake United Methodist Church, with the rev. Dr. Lyle Lieter and Rev. Dr. James K. Delahooke officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Visitation at Cataldo Funeral Home, Garner, will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday. The family requests memorials be given to the Ray Robbins Memorial Fund.

Mr. Robbins was a former manager of the Clear Lake Livestock Association. He served on the Clear Lake School Board from 1933-38. He was a member of the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors from 1937-58. He also served on the board of directors for the Clear Lake Cooperative Creamery for 21 years. He was a member of Clear Lake United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lela; one son, Howard Wendell, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Short, Garner; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
