FUNERAL SERVICES FOR BURDETTE LINES FRI.

Funeral services for Burdette L. Lines, 47, 100 North Third Street, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home. Dr. Edward W. Day, pastor of the Congregational Church, will conduct the rites and burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Ward’s Funeral Home is in charge.

Burdette LeRoy Lines was born Sept. 6, 1902, at Knoxville, Iowa, son of William and Maddy Lines, and passed away at a Mason City hospital, Wednesday, June 7, 1950, following an illness of several months.

Mr. Lines came to Clear Lake about 1928 and has been employed as a substitute mail carrier and assisted Wes Hill on his farms. On April 10, 1942, he was married to Luceal Hill at Bethany, Mo., who survives.

Also surviving Mr. Lines are two brothers, Lowell Lines, Ingraham, Ill., and Kenneth Lines, Trivoli, Ill., three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Zeck and Mrs. Opal Carle, both of Knoxville, and Mrs. Mabel Davey, Hanna City, Ill., also several nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Transcriber’s Note – Burdette LeRoy Lines was born September 6, 1902, died June 7, 1950 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section 3 Row 10.
