SERVICES HELD FOR GERALD LEE THOE, 2

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Gerald Lee Thoe, 2, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emory U. Thoe, 508 Caroline Street, who died at a Mason City hospital Sunday evening after a brief illness, were held at the Zion Lutheran Church Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. Ruben Mostrom, pastor, conducted the rites and burial was in Clear Lake Cemetery. Ward’s Funeral Home made the arrangements.

Pallbearers were Allan Erickson, John Ashland, Jr., Robert Folkmann and Dick Petersen. Mmes. Soren Olson and Sidney Rund arranged the flowers. Mrs. A.E. Folkmann sang “I Think When I Read That Sweet Story of Old” as a solo and with her daughter, Barbara, “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” as a duet. Mrs. H. L. Erickson accompanied both numbers.

Relatives from out of town present included Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Thoe and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Skellinger, Lake Mills; Mr. and Mrs. G.P. Oss, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence DeGroodt and Mr. and Mrs. M.J. DeGroodt, Spring Valley, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Oss, Minneapolis; Mrs. L.A. Haag, Des Moines; Mrs. Wallace Brattrud, Waseca, Minn.; Mrs. Albert Gabby, Cedar Falls, and Donald Oss, Decorah.
