Obituary - Peter Petersen Floy
July 21, 1893 ~ October 24, 1944

Final funeral rites for Peter Floy who passed away at his home here Tuesday, October 24 after an illness of several weeks, were held at the United Lutheran church Thursday afternoon of last week at 1:45 o'clock. The Rev. A. Jensen of Coulter, pastor, was in charge. Pallbearers were his six nephews: Robert Hansen, Bobby Floy, Quintin Bertelsen, Eugene Bertelsen, Lyle Ytzen and Herluf Ytzen.

He was united in marriage to Cecelia Bertelsen, March 31, 1918. They resided on a farm southwest of Thornton for 26 years, moving to their home in Thornton in January, 1943. He passed away October 24 at the age of 51 years, three months and two days. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, three daughters - Seydell, Thelma and Bonnie, and one son Charles; one sister and one brother, Mrs. Henry Timm and Will Floy, Jr., both of Thornton; one uncle, Tony Floy; and also a number of nieces and nephews.

He was both a devoted husband and father.
