Dora Dena Kaduce was born June 25, 1914, in Alexander, the daughter of Lulof and Hanna (Suntken) Kaduce.

In May of 1930, Dora was united in marriage to Albert A. Boster. Mr. Boster died in February of 1957. She was then united in marriage to Henry "Hank" Boelman on Dec. 14, 1957, in Thornton. Mr. Boelman died Oct. 20, 1983.

For 13 years Dora was employed as a casings seamstress at the Decker Meat Packing Company. She then went to work in the housekeeping department of the former Mercy Hospital in Mason City.

Dora was a woman of strong faith, which was reflected in her membership at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the West Haven/Dorcas Circle of the church. The love she and her family shared gave her the strength to see her through the passing of six of her seven children.

Dora was noted in her family, church and community for her superior homemade peanut brittle. She was also fond of crocheting, especially baby blankets and towels. She also enjoyed doing many other types of crafts.

Those who were blessed by Dora's life include a daughter and her husband, Leta and Cornell Dunt of Lost Nation; a brother and his wife, Louie and Edith Kaduce of Meservey; two sisters, Mrs. Alvina Olson of Annendale, Minn., and Mrs. Helen Caywood of Mason City; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Delores Boster of Sheldon and Mrs. Dolores Boster of Mason City; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Frieda Kaduce of Belmond; and 87 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Dora was preceded in death by five sons, Daniel, Delbert, Murril, Marion and Raymond Boster; a daughter, Annetta Witt; a brother, Ted Kaduce; two sisters, Lavonne Martin and Louise Cooper; and two sisters in infancy.

Those considering an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the family.
