CORA L. ERICKSON

Funeral services were held Wednesday (today) for Cora L. Erickson, 88, 417 ½ S. Tyler, Mason City. The Rev. James Kratz officiated at 2 p.m. in the Wilcox-Osthus Chapel. Burial was in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mrs. Erickson died Sunday in a Mason City nursing home where she had been a resident for three years.

She was born March 16, 1883, on a farm south of Clear Lake, the daughter of Nels and Isabel (Hetland) Hanson. She was married to Albert Erickson who preceded her in death. She attended the Clear Lake schools and taught in rural schools of the area. She attended college in Chicago.

Surviving are one son, Harland Erickson, Ulen, Minn.; and two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Helen) Pharr, Jamestown, N.D., and Mrs. Charles (Ida) Elzner, Port Angeles, Wash.

Also three sisters, Mrs. Charles Lohrmann, Richmond, Va.; Mrs. Neal Anderson, Fosston, Minn., and Mrs. Emma Simington, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; one brother, Ernest M. Hanson, Redwood City, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Pallbearers were Duane Seeger, Victor Hanson, Norman Juhl, Wayne Larsen, Jim Anderson, and Jack Enabnit. Mrs. Rudy Ahlman was organist, Ray Garcia was vocalist.
