CUP OF KEROSENE IS FATAL TO CHILD; DIES MONDAY

The seventeen-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Farrow, residing on what is known as the Fred Langenberg farm west of Clear Lake, died Monday morning, from the effects of drinking a cup of kerosene oil.

The family were visiting relatives near Mason City, Sunday, and in some manner the little one got hold of and drank the contents of the cup. A physician was summoned at once, but the most strenuous efforts were unable to save her life, and she passed away at 2 a.m.

The funeral services were held at the home Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock, Rev. McDade of the Methodist church officiating.

Transcriber’s Note – Cleo Farrow was born 1916, died March 1918 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section B Row 7.
