THELMA FERGASON

Funeral services were held Jan 2, 1975 at 2 p.m. in the Christian Church for Mrs. Glenn Fergason, who died Dec. 29 at her home 922 North Shore Dr.

The Rev. Randall Ammondson officiated. Mrs. A.E. Folkmann was organist. Interment was in Clear Lake Cemetery. Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Edward Boender, James Gerdes, Kenneth Nordli, Steven Shaler, Michael Grandon, Jack Dominic and H.F. Goplerud.

Thelma Jette Fergason was born Feb. 23, 1925 at Wheaton, Kan., the daughter of Alexander and Hazel (Underwood) Jette. She was graduated from the Newton High School in 1943, was married to Glenn Fergason in 1943 at Lincoln, Neb.

Following Mr. Fergason’s discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1945, they moved to Mason City. In 1947 they came to Clear Lake.

Mrs. Fergason had been a secretary at Pioneer Savings and Loan in Mason City for 25 years until health forced her retirement in 1973.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn, one son, Paul at home, a student at NIACC, and her mother Mrs. Alice Jette, Clear Lake.

She was a member of the Christian Church, Clear Lake; Park Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Tina Rebekah Lodge, Wa-tan-ye Club and the Women’s Business & Professional organization.

She was a victim of multiple schlerosis for which the family wishes memorials, as well as Handicap Village.

Transcriber’s Note – Thelma Jette Fergason was born February 23, 1925, died December 29, 1974 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section G Row 9.
