MRS. VIRGIL FISH DIES AT LAKE HOME

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Virgil Fish, 48, Route 1, died Monday evening at her farm home seven miles south of Clear Lake. She had suffered from heart disease for several years.

Esther Irene Wright was born July 21, 1913, on a farm near Pope City, the daughter of Charley and Sarah Wright. She attended the schools in Dallas County and lived there until she moved to Wyoming.

She returned to Perry eight years ago and on July 30, 1956, was married to Virgil Fish at Garner. They had since lived on their farm near Clear Lake.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Vicky Linn, 2, at home; and four daughters by a previous marriage, Mrs. Ed (Shirley) Howe, Saratoga, Wyo.; Mrs. Roy (Sarah) White, Waukegan, Ill.; Mrs. Ted (Donna) Matson, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Ethel Varisco, Clear Lake.

Also surviving are her mother, Sarah Wright, Des Moines; three brothers, Chester, Donald and Loren Wright, all of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. George Heisler and Mrs. Cleve Strumbo, both of Des Moines, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ward Funeral Home, Clear Lake. Dr. John E. DeLong, pastor of the Methodist Church, Clwear Lake, will officiate. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Wednesday until time of services.
