DON EDWIN FISH

Don Edwin Fish, 75, Clear Lake, died Monday, Oct. 3 at the farm south of Clear Lake.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct 5, at the Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home with Reverend James K. Delahooke of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Don Fish was born April 16, 1902 in Buchanan County near Fairbanks, Ia., the son of George and Addie (Pingree) Fish.

He was educated in the area and later attended an Automotive School in Chicago. He worked for a time with an Auto Repair Company in Chicago.

In 1932 he returned to Buchanan County and started farming. In 1954 along with his brother Virgil and sister Opal, they began farming seven miles south of Clear Lake.

Fish is survived by three sisters, Opal Pappas, Clear Lake, Mrs. Virginia Davis, Des Moines and Mrs. Mildred Hanson, Knoxville, two brothers, Virgil, Clear Lake and Edwin Fish, Des Moines. A niece, Vicky Fish has been raised at the Fish farm home.

Mrs. Tom Treloar is the organist and Larry Shaffer is soloist.

Pallbearers are Gus Pappas, Bill Davis, Edgar Dailey, James Harrington, Melvin Barlow and Dan Aastrup.
