ELIZABETH THILEN BOKELMAN

Mrs. Henry Bokelman died Tuesday August 9th at her home northeast of Ventura, at the advanced age of 92 years. The cause of death was old age. Elizabeth Thilen was born at Hanover, Germany September 19, 1818 and came to America with her husband, in 1870. Thirty-five years of the time since coming to America she had spent on the farm where she died.

Besides her husband, one son, J.H. Bokelman, living north of Ventura, survives her. It may be that there are two living daughters in Germany though nothing has been heard from for many years. Funeral services which were largely attended were held at the J.H. Bokelman home Thursday afternoon by Rev. F.W. Keagy of the M.E. church at Clear Lake. Burial at Clear Lake.
