CLEAR – Funeral services for Alfred H. Sandry, who died Thursday at the home of his son, D.D. Sandry, Thief River Falls, Minn., were held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home. Burial was at the Clear Lake Cemetery. The Rev. B.W. Riner of the Methodist Church conducted the rites.

He moved to Cerro Gordo county when 25 years of age and on March 28, 1875 was married to Betsy Jane Hinds. They lived on a farm near Clear Lake most of the time afterward until Mrs. Sandry died Aug. 21, 1926.

Three sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Sandry, William of Williston, N. Dak.; Dealto D., of Thief River Falls, Minn., and Ray of Clear Lake, all of whom survive.

Following the death of his wife, Mr. Sandry first made his home with his son William, for a time and then with Dealto. Mr. Sandry lived a Christian life and devoted a great deal of time to church work as long as his health permitted. He had been in failing health for some time but was up and about the house every day until shortly before his death.
