NATIVE OF ENGLAND IS SURVIVED BY HUSBAND, THREE CHILDREN

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Mrs. Elton Luscomb, 69, who died at her home, 223 South Third Street, Saturday evening following a series of strokes, were held at the Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Thomas B. Collins, pastor, conducted the rites, and burial was in Clear Lake Cemetery. Williams funeral home was in charge.

Pallbearers were Sam Hyde, Fred Linahan, Chris Jacobsen, John Trimble, Henry Marshall, and Faye Mason. Mrs. Jacobsen and Mrs. Linahan arranged the flowers. Mrs. Raymond Monaghen, accompanied by Mrs. Harry Mason, sang “The Old Rugged Cross,” and “No Night There,”

Sarah Ann Cash was born in Manchester, England, Sept. 18, 1870, the eldest daughter of Alfred and Emma Charlesworth Cash. She came with her parents to the United States when 11 years old, living at Hinckley, Ill., until she grew to womanhood.

On Oct. 2, 1892, she was married to Elton Luscomb. The young couple lived at Maple Park, Ill., until 1903 when they moved to a farm north of Clear Lake. Here they resided until 1926 when they retired and moved to Clear Lake. Mrs. Luscomb was a member of the Methodist Church.

Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Luscomb. They are Rollin, Elmer and Ruth, now Mrs. Theodore Back, all of Clear Lake.

Besides her husband and children Mrs. Luscomb is survived by a sister, Mrs. L.O. McNeill, Swea City; two half-brothers, Will Charlesworth, Waterman, Ill., and Thomas Charlesworth, in England; five grandchildren two great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
