MRS. EASTMAN DIES; RITES ARE THURSDAY

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Earl (Anna) Eastman, 800 7th Ave. N., died Monday afternoon at a Clear Lake nursing home where she had been since January.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Worthie K. Usher officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. The Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Anna Eastman was born Aug. 30, 1886, in rural Clear Lake, the daughter of Daniel and Thea (Anderson) Spilman. She was married to Earl Eastman in 1912 at Burchinal. They lived in the Clear Lake area all their lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1953, four brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Eastman is survived by one son, Donald, Clear Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Violet) White and Mrs. Harry (Carol) Baago, Clear Lake; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Spilman, Clear Lake, and two sisters, Lillie Holmes, Nora Springs and Kate Johnson, Sturgis, S.D.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers selected include Les Hugh, Ashton Hugh, Duane Holmes, Deane Spilman, and Orville Spilman. Organist will be Frances Miller, with Mrs. Louis Treloar as soloist.

NOTE – Anna Eastman was born August 30, 1886, died September 1970 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section D Row 5.
