PLAN RITES FOR MRS. A. PETERSEN

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Andrew R. (Ethel) Petersen, 85, died at the IOOF Home in Mason City Thursday evening.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Clear Lake Cemetery with the Rev. Lavern Harcey, chaplain of the IOOF Home, officiating. The Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ethel Maude Laird was born Oct. 16, 1882, at Stuart. She was married to Clyde G. Armentrout and they lived on a farm north of Clear Lake for several years until he died in 1930.

Nov. 25, 1936, she was married to Andrew R. Petersen at Cherokee and they made their home in Clear Lake until 1942 when they moved to Banning, Calif. Mr. Petersen died Feb. 27, 1961 at Banning.

Mrs. Petersen returned to Clear Lake in 1962 and had lived in the IOOF Home the last six years.

She is survived by one stepson, Kenneth N. Petersen, Ventura and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Paul (Nell)Knapp, Clear Lake. There are two nephews, George Preble, Palm Springs, Calif., and Warren Maple, Banning.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge 309 at Banning.

NOTE – Ethel Maude Petersen was born October 16, 1882, died September 1968 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section D Row 1.
