MRS. FRED W. ROGERS

Mrs. Fred W. “Anne” Rogers, 86, former Clear Lake resident died April 1 at a Glendale, Calif. Retirement home where she had moved from Clear Lake in 1970. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church. Pastor Murley Severtson officiated. Mrs. Dale Becker was soloist, accompanied by Mrs. A.E. Folkmann.

Pallbearers were Ludwig Wangberg, Philip Wangberg, Clarence T. Olson, Ben Banti, Donald Goranson and Dr. Paul Fynskov. Interment was in Clear Lake Cemetery. Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Anne Olson Rogers was born March 13, 1890 at Clear Lake, the daughter of Ole and Olava (Amundson) Olson. She received her education in the Clear Lake Schools.

She was married to Fred W. Rogers in 1925. Their home had always been in Clear Lake where Mr. Rogers had a real estate business. Mr. Rogers died in 1953.

Mrs. Rogers moved to California to be near her son Frederic Rogers, of Huntington Park. Besides her son, she is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Ludwig Wangberg and Mrs. Milt Toinby; one nephew, Clarence T. Olson, all of Clear Lake.

Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

NOTE – Anne Rogers was born March 13, 1890, died April 1976 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section B Row 9.
