MASS SUNG FOR MELVA IBARRA, 10, DROWNING VICTIM

CLEAR LAKE – Mass of the Angels was sung Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for Melva Ibarra, 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilberto Ibarra, Clear Lake. Melva was drowned Sunday when the boat in which she was riding swamped in deep water at Clear Lake.

The Rev. J.J. Buzynski was celebrant and preached the sermon. Responses were chanted by the Rev. Justin Hercog, summer assistant pastor at St. Patrick’s. David and Billy Farnan were acolytes. Mrs. R.A. Monaghen was vocal soloist and Mrs. Don O’Neill, organist.

Pallbearers were Andres De La Crus, Guan Lopez, Apolinar Portales, Josi Lozano, Nocolis Portales, and Jubeneio Camarillo. Burial was in the Clear Lake Cemetery. The Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

NOTE – Melva Ibarra was born 1949, died 1960 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section F Row 2.
