CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Miss Alice Mabel Oxley, 55, who died at her farm home southwest of Clear Lake Sunday afternoon, will be held at ward’s Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 o’clock. Doctor E.W. Day, pastor of the Congregational Church, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. The body was to lie in state at the funeral home Monday evening.

Miss Oxley was born at the home where she died Aug. 20, 1895, youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George V. Oxley. She lived her entire life in the home as, after the death of the parents, she and 2 brothers continued to operate the farm.

Miss Oxley had been in failing health the past few months and she had been in a wheel chair several weeks but never confined to her bed. She went for a ride Sunday afternoon. She was a member of the Pioneer Congregational Church near her home and of the Eden Farm Club.

Miss Oxley is survived by the 2 brothers, Harry and Vern, at home, a brother, Will and 2 sisters, Mmes. Pearl Hickok and Shirley Stanfield, all of Clear lake. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Ethel.

NOTE – Alice Mabel Oxley was born August 20, 1895, died 1950 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section 2 Row 13.
