HOLD SERVICES FOR EDWIN L. EBAUGH AT WARD’S SUNDAY

Funeral services for Edwin Ebaugh, 71, who died at a mason City hospital Thursday evening were held at Ward’s Funeral Home Sunday at 2 p.m. The Rev. T.D. Russell, pastor of the First Church of the Open Bible, conducted the rites. Burial was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clarence and LeRoy Draves, Melvin and Virgil Ouverson, LeRoy Halvorson and Horace Kirk. Mmes. Carl Hankensen and Harold Chaney arranged the flowers. Mmes. Russell and C.W. Braatz, accompanied by Mrs. Henry Volstad, organist, sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere.”

Relatives attending from a distance included Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pigman, Britt; and Mr. and Mrs. Rayfield. Others from Mason City, Clear Lake and Fertile also attended.

The former farmer and cement contractor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ebaugh, was born on a farm near Fertile April 8, 1884, and had spent his entire life there and at Clear Lake.

July 24, 1912, he was married to Miss Ethel Worden, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Mrs. Don (Helen) DeBell and Elwin Ebaugh, Fertile, and Mrs. James (Wilma) Harlan, Clear Lake; six grandchildren, three brothers, Roy and Ray Ebaugh, Clear Lake, and Stanley Ebaugh, Forest City, and two sisters, Mrs. Sam (Winnie) Severson and Mrs. Roscoe (Nettie) Worden, Clear Lake.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Hazel) Davis, Helen Ebaugh and Mrs. George (Lora) Ballantyne, and a brother , Lester Ebaugh.

NOTE – Edwin L. Ebaugh was born April 8, 1884, died 1955 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section D Row 1.
