HOLD FUNERAL OF MRS. P. BAILEY
WELL KNOWN CLEAR LAKE WOMAN PASSED TO BEYOND FRIDAY – SERVICE HELD SUNDAY

Funeral services over the remains of the late Mrs. Perry Bailey, beloved wife of Perry Bailey, who died at her home on Victoria avenue Friday afternoon, was held from the home Sunday. Mrs. D.H. Campbell conducting the ceremony, interment being made in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

While Mrs. Bailey has been ailing for the past four months, she had been sick only a short time and the end came unexpected. She is survived by her husband, Perry Bailey, one son, Carl, thirteen years of age, her mother, Mrs. Joseph Thada, of Thornton, four brothers and three sisters.

Hattie Thada was born near Ventura, Iowa, on March 22, 1875 and died on June 20, 1919, being 44 years and three months old at the time of death.

On January 26, 1905 she was united in marriage to Perry Bailey, and resided in Mason City for a number of years, her husband being engaged in the hardware business at that place. Later they removed to Thornton and made their home there until about four years ago when they came to Clear Lake and established permanent residence here.

For a number of months she had been in ailing health but like the Christian woman she was, she bore her troubles bravely and met the end with a smile, content to go, her only regret being that she was forced to leave her husband and their only son.

During her residence in Clear Lake Mrs. Bailey made many warm friends who extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved husband and son.
