MRS. BAKER, 91, DIES AT HOME
FUNERAL AT METHODIST CHURCH FRIDAY AT 2

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Mrs. B.F. Baker, 91, who died at her home east of Clear Lake early Wednesday morning, will be held at the First Methodist Church Friday at 2 o’clock. The Rev. Warner M. Hubbard, pastor will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. The body is at Ward’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Baker was born Annie Miner, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. S.E. Miner, at Wyacena, Wis., Dec. 28, 1854, and is the last of a family of 8 children. She was married to Mr. Baker in Greene County, Wis., March 9, 1879. They came to the vicinity of Clear Lake in 1886.

Besides her husband Mrs. Baker is survived by 3 children, Mrs. Elgar Haight, Mason City; Ray Baker, who lives on the same farm as his parents, and Miss Bessie Baker, at home; 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Elbert, died at the age of 3 and Verne on Feb. 13, 1944.

Mrs. Baker had been in her usual health until recently and was out to dinner Sunday, becoming ill Monday. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a charter member of the Home Improvement Club.

NOTE – Annie Miner Baker was born December 28, 1854 and died May 29, 1946.
