SHARON JANINE HAYUNGS

Sharon Janine Hayungs, 48, of Clear Lake, Iowa, died Saturday, March 15, 1997 at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East Campus, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 18 at the Rudd United Methodist Church, Rudd, Iowa, with the Rev. Deborah Stowers officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd. The family suggests memorials may be made in her name.

Sharon was born May 4, 1948 in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of John and Betty (Raymond) Hayungs. She graduated from Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock High School in 1967. Following graduation she moved to California and lived with her aunt.

Sharon moved to Mason City and was employed at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home and Klipto. She also assisted in Dr. Kopal's office. She moved to Clear Lake in 1976, where she owned and operated the White Glove Cleaning Service. She was also employed at Shady Beach, Town Pump, V.F.W. Club, Lake Lanes and the Lady of the Lake.

She was an avid hockey fan, who also enjoyed bowling, playing pool, ceramics and collecting bells. She loved to care for others.

She is survived by her father and mother, John and Betty Hayungs of Rudd; her very special friend of 20 years, Louie Ziesman of Clear Lake; two brothers, Darrell and John R. Hayungs Jr., both of Rudd; a sister, Karen Courter of Rudd; and a very special niece, Lisa Courter of Rudd.

She was preceded in death by her brother, David Hayungs; an infant brother, Richard Hayungs; and her grandparents..
