M. HAROLD SHEIMO

CLEAR LAKE -- M. Harold Sheimo, 73, of 514 N. Shore Dr., died Sunday (Dec. 17, 1995) at Oakwood Care Center.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., with the Rev. Kermit Roisen and the Rev. Roger Kampstra officiating. Inurnment will be in Brush Point Cemetery, rural Fertile. Family will be at the funeral home one hour prior to services to greet friends.

Harold was born Oct. 29, 1922 in rural Fertile, the son of Henry and Ellen (Hovland) Sheimo. Harold was baptized and confirmed in the Fertile Lutheran Church. He graduated from Fertile High School in 1940. Harold served in Army Air Force during World War II, as a staff sergeant. He graduated from St. Olaf College in 1948. After graduation he moved to California. In 1950 he moved to Chicago where he worked at Marshalls. He then moved to New York City where he worked for the Museum of Modern Art for 30 years. Harold moved back to Clear Lake to live in 1983.

He is survived by his brother, Frank Sheimo and his wife, Shirley of Fertile; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Keith “Mayvis” Sheimo of Clear Lake, and Mrs. Dick “Ardis” Sheimo of Fertile; and many nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents
