FUNERAL RITES FOR MRS. HAYES

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Church in Mason City for Mrs. George H. (Anna Mae) Hayes, 43, South Shore Drive, Clear Lake. She died Wednesday in a Mason City hospital. The Rev. Harold Dowler officiated and burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Anna Mae Hayes was born Oct. 5, 1923, at Oskaloosa, the daughter of Grant and Viola (Bales) Wimpsett. In 1939 she was married to George H. Hayes and they moved to Mason City in 1943. In 1949 they moved to Perry and returned to Mason City in 1953. In 1962 they moved to Clear Lake. Her husband died in 1964 and she owned and operated Rusticove-Hayes Resort since then.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Wimpsett, Lockridge; a daughter, Denise Ann, Clear Lake; two sons, Richard E. and Ronald E.; one granddaughter; two brothers, Homer Wimpsett, Keota, and Ralph Wimpsett, Indianapolis, Ind.; five sisters, Mrs. Frank (Lucille) Carnahan, Torrance, Calif.; Mrs. Marie Smithart and Mrs. Merle (Mattie) Schoonover), both of Des Moines; Mrs. Arnold (Betty) Crable, Fairfield, and Mrs. Donald (Donna) Mickey, Dallas, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister.
