JAY WINKLER, 4 DIES SUDDENLY

CLEAR LAKE –Jay Steven Winkler, nearly 5, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Winkler, 109 N. Elm Street, died at a Mason City hospital at 9:15 Friday evening following a brief illness.

He became ill first Wednesday evening but was not thought to be in serious condition till early Friday when he suffered a convulsion and never regained consciousness.

Jay was born at Mason City, Sept. 11, 1944. Besides his parents he is survived by a sister, Mitzi, nearly 9, and a brother, Robert, who will be 3 in November. Also surviving are his grandmothers, Mrs. Martha Winkler, Camp Ground, and Mrs. Oscar P. Peterson, 410 5th Street.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home.

NOTE – Jay Steven Winkler was born September 11, 1944, died July 1949 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section B Row 7.
