HANS SCOTT DIES; RITES SATURDAY

CLEAR LAKE – Hans Scott, 74, 1005 7th Ave. N., died Wednesday afternoon at a Mason City hospital where he had been a patient 11 weeks.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home with Elgie B. Jamison, Mason City, officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Hans Scott was born March 20, 1889, at Birket on the island of Laaland, Denmark, the son of Niels and Selvestia (Nelson) Scott. He attended schools in Denmark. At the age of 21 he came to the United States, settling in Garner. July 3, 1912, he was married to Fronia Fuller at Klemme. They lived on farms in the Clear Lake area from 1929 until his retirement in 1957.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. John (Leona) Wilkinson, Woodlake, Minn.; Mrs. Donald (Esther) Major, Clear Lake; Mrs. Allan (Evelyn) Skjeie, Chatfield, Minn., and Mrs. Omar (Irene) Kelley, Goodell; four sons, Eldo, Orchard; Willard, Mason City; Harold, Wabash, Ind., and Raymond, Center City, Minn.; 28 grandchildren and one sister in Denmark.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

NOTE – Hans Scott was born March 20, 1889, died 1963 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery Section C Row 2.
