ROBERT NOAH VAN HORN 1936 – 1977
Robert Noah Van Horn, 41, died Sunday, Oct 30 in a California hospital. He had been living in Baldwin Park, Ca.
Funeral services were Monday, November 7 at the Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home, Clear Lake, Ia. with Rev. Kenneth Ubbelohde, of the Congregational Church officiating. Interment was in Clear Lake Cemetery.
Robert Noah Van Horn was born October 21, 1936 at Clear Lake, the son of Noah and Flossie (Taylor) Van Horn. He was educated in the Clear Lake Schools and in 1958 moved to California where he did truck driving and was a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife Grace M. Van Horn, Baldwin Park, Ca., three children, Anthony Van Horn and Harold Van Horn both of Oregon, and Michille Thomas, Parker, Ariz., three grandchildren, a brother, Dean Van Horn, Ventura, and a step brother, Harold Thompson, LaPuente, Ca., and a step sister, Mrs. Richard (Vivian) Fehrman, Omaha, Nebr.
Pallbearers were Wayne Adams, DuWayne Haugen, Francis Flusek, Don Oleson, Virgil Sharp and Don Huey, Jr. Mrs. Tom Treloar was organist. Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
