LARGE CROWD GATHERS AT CLEAR LAKE HOME FOR FUNERAL SERVICESCLEAR LAKE Nov. 18 - Christian Science funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Aaron N. Grimm, who died Friday morning at her home on Jefferson street at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Ida O. Campbell, reader, was in charge. A large crowd of relatives and friends crowded in the spacious home for the last rites. O. J. King soloist, accompanied by Mr. Floyd L. Britt, sang two hymns.
Mrs. Grimm, whose maiden name was Isola E. Bartmess, was born in Kane county, Illinois, May 27, 1864. She was married to Aaron N. Grimm Dec. 3, 1886. Two children, Bernie and Myrtle were born. Bernie died in August, 1927. Mr. and Mrs. Grimm moved to Clear Lake in spring of 1891.
She is survived by her husband, Aaron N. Grimm, a daughter, Mrs. John W. Beery, formerly of Long Beach, Cal., but now of Clear Lake, and her grandson, Billy Grimm Ford, who has made his home with his grandparents for several years; four brothers, Bart and Ray Bartmess of this city, Elmer of Walcott, and Harry of Santa Clara, Cal.
The out of town relatives and friends were; Mrs. Elmer S. Grimm, Hinckley, Ill.; Milton Grimm, Burkmero, S. Dak.; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bartmess, Walcott; Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Bartmess, Mason City; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Caldwell and Tom Hankin of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Ganson and sons; Hugh and Charlie, Mingo and Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Barry, Iowa Falls.
Although Mrs. Grimm was not a member of the Science church she had studied and been a student of that faith for some time. She had been active in lodge, church work until eight years ago when her illness first began. For the past six weeks she has been in critical condition.
Pallbearers were John Siesseger, W. W. Choate, R. J. Clausen, C. C. Palmeter, W. J. McGowan and George Frost. Burial was made in the Clear Lake Cemetery.
