PLAN RITES FOR F. KIMBALL, 85.
SERVICES AT WARD’S SATURDAY, 2 O’CLOCKCLEAR LAKE – Funeral service for Fred Kimball, 85, who died at his home, 1019 S. 3rd Street, Wednesday evening of the frailities of age, will be held at Ward’s funeral home at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Doctor E. W. Day, Congregational pastor, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.
Mr. Kimball was born at Sterling, Ill., Sept. 19, 1865, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Kimball, and came to Iowa with the family when 8 years old. They settled first at Rockford but moved the next year to the vicinity of Clear Lake where he grew to manhood.
He was married to Miss Cora Lambert March 29, 1893, by the Rev. R. R. Wood, pioneer Congregational pastor. They have lived in this community since.
Besides his wife, Mr. Kimball is survived by a son, Ralph; a daughter, Miss Delight Kimball, both at home; another daughter, Mrs. E. L. Secory, 1015 S. 3rd Street; a sister, Mrs. W. J. (Effie) Leonard, Ventura, 3 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mrs. L. E. Perry, Houston, Texas, and 6 brothers, William, Dayton, Morton, Ferd, Charles and Harry Kimball.
NOTE – Mr. Kimball died November 5, 1951.
