RITES AT METHODIST CHURCH FOR JON ROGER WOOD June 28, 1944 – September 1, 1944

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Jon Roger Wood, 2 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Wood, were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church with the Rev. Thomas B. Collins conducting the rites. Williams funeral home was in charge and burial was in Clear Lake cemetery.

Jon Roger was born June 28 and died at a Mason City hospital Friday night after a brief illness. Besides his parents he is survived by 2 sisters, Faith and Dolores, and 3 brothers, Amos, Ellery and Donald.

Pallbearers were Jack Prescott, Will Watkins, James Toppin and Gaylord True. Flowers were arranged by the Misses Mildred and Annie Baker, Mmes. L. E. Jacobson, and F. G. Drew, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Willis Miller, sang “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” and “Precious Jewels
