THOMAS DUFF WOOD

CLEAR LAKE – Memorial services for Thomas Duff Wood, 66, Owatonna, Minn., formerly of Clear Lake, will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Clear Lake Cemetery. He died Monday (Aug. 1, 1983) at a Rochester, Minn., hospital.

Mr. Wood was born in 1916 in Garner to Charles and Laura (Duff) Wood. He graduated from Clear Lake High School and attended Iowa State University, Ames. He married Merle Ferguson in 1936 in Chicago, Ill., and had been employed as a civil engineer by the Pfeiffer and Schultz engineering firm in Minneapolis. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 8, Mandan, N.D., and Scottish Rite, St. Paul, Minn.

The Rev. Kenneth Ubbelohde of the Congregational Church, Clear Lake, will officiate at the service. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel , Clear Lake, is in charge of arrangements. The family requests memorials be given to the Thomas Duff Wood Memorial Fund.

Survivors include his wife, Merle, Owatonna, Minn.; four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Murrae Jane) Moynihan, Bellevue, Wash.; Nancy Sparks, Renton, Wash.; Mrs. Douglas (Linnie) Steere and Mrs. Curtis (Flora Beth) Clarke, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; one son, Richard, Apple Valley, Minn.; 11 grandchildren, and one brother, C. R. Wood, Hobbs, N.M.
