Michael D. Hyde, 36, died Saturday, June 7, 1997 at North Iowa Mercy Health
Center, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 11, at Church of Christ, Fertile,
Iowa, with the Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating. Interment was in the Clear Lake
Cemetery, Clear Lake, Iowa. Fr. John Kramer officiated.

Michael D. Hyde was born in Mason City, Iowa on Oct. 30, 1960, the son of Dale
and Sheilah (Lynch) Hyde. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick's
Catholic Church in Clear Lake. He attended Forest City schools and graduated
from Forest City High School in 1979. he was involved in football and wrestling
and active in 4-H Club during his school years. Mike enjoyed being outdoors. He
had been working on the family farm south of Fertile and also worked for other
area farmers. He loved horses, hunting and woodworking. Time spent with his
nieces and nephews was special to Mike. He could always be counted on to lend a
helping hand when needed.

He is survived by his parents, Sheilah Hyde of Forest City, Iowa, and Dale Hyde
of Fertile; two brothers, Brian Patrick Hyde, Fertile, and Jeffrey Hyde, Las
Vegas, Nev.; four sisters, Delia Hyde, Laguna Beach, Calif., Donna Rezendes,
Niceville, Fla., and June Lackore and Jamie Hyde, both of Forest City; and
several nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by a sister who died in infancy, Debra Lee.

Pallbearers were Dean Ouverson, Tom Hyde, Mark Anderson, Ron Almelien, Marv
Vavrik, and Randy Pederson.
