Justine Barbara Weydert, 102, of Clear Lake, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 20, 1997,
at the Muse-Norris Hospice In-Patient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 23, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in
Clear Lake, with Msgr. Joseph J. Slepicka officiating. Burial was in Clear Lake
Cemetery. A scriptural wake service was held Thursday, May 22. The family
suggests memorials in her name.

Justine was born April 23, 1895 in Whittemore, Iowa, the third of eight children
born to Simon Paul and Pauline (Bonstetter) Weber Sr. She was educated in the
Whittemore area.

On Oct. 2, 1917 she was united in marriage to Peter Weydert in Whittemore. The
couple farmed at Bode, Iowa until 1920. Later that year they moved to Riceland,
Minn. They moved to Iowa in 1928 and farmed south of Whittemore. In 1928, they
purchased a farm south of Ventura, Iowa and farmed there until 1961. She then
retired to her present Clear Lake address.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Clear Lake for 54 years and
served in St. Ann's Circle. She was a charter member of the Union Dozen Club of
Ventura.

She is survived by six children, Marvin Weydert, Mason City, Pauline Weydert
Quinn and her husband, Lester, of Brandon, Minn., Grace Jones and her husband,
Joseph, Thornton, Iowa, Simon Weydert and his wife, Phyllis, Rockwell, Iowa,
Barbara Ann Weydert Chisholm, Osage, Iowa, and Jackie Weydert Quinn and her
husband, Bud, of Ventura, Iowa; 30 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; and 22
great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two granddaughters, Suzanne
and Peggy Ann Jones; a daughter-in-law, Anna Mae Weydert; a son-in-law, James
Chisholm; five brothers; and two sisters.

Organist Seth Banwell accompanied soloist Angela Willits.

Honorary pallbearers were all grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Marvin Weydert, Gary Quinn, Tim Weydert, Mark Chisholm, Curt
Quinn, and Denny Cook.
