Mrs. Ida A. Morse, 70, of Fertile, Iowa died Sunday, Oct. 8, 1995 at the
North Iowa Mercy health Center East Campus, Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Church of
Christ, Fertile, Iowa with the Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating. Graveside services
were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 at the Ventura Cemetery, Ventura, the
Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday,
Oct. 12 at the Ventura Cemetery, Ventura, Iowa. The Ward-Van Slyke Colonial
chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge.

The family suggests memorials to the Ida A. Morse memorial fund.

Ida was born Oct. 24, 1924 in Ventura, Iowa, the daughter of Addison H.
Cooley and Elina C. Bach Cooley. She graduated from Ventua High School in 1942.

Ida worked at the Clear Lake Bakery and then Clear Lake Mirror. She married
Harry E. Morse Dec. 22, 1945 in Ventura, Iowa.

They lived in the North Iowa area until moving back to Fertile, Iowa in 1962
where she lived ever since. She operated Lime Rock Cafe in Fertile and also was
a well known cook in the area.

Ida enjoyed doing all types of crafts, and made dog booties for Libby
Riddles dog sled team in Iditarod Dog Sled Race in Alaska.

Ida is survived by seven children, Sandy Gjerdahl and her husband Dave,
Rake, Iowa; Steve Morse and his wife Geri, St. Paul Park, Minn.; Tim Morse and
his wife Kathy, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Scott Morse, Anchorage, Ala.; Pat Morse
and his wife Elida, Clear Lake, Iowa; Jon Morse and his wife Debbie, Anchorage,
Ala.; and Elin Miner and her husband Harold "Shorty" Miner, Fertile, Iowa; 18
grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; one sister, Evalena Coe and her
husband Ted Coe, Ventura, Iowa; and one brother Orland Cooley and his wife
Doris, Ridgeway, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1963; grandson Troy
Burke; three brothers, Lawrence Cooley, Arnold Cooley, and Clarence Cooley.
