Arnold D. Moeller, 84, Clear Lake, died Monday, May 15, 1995, at
the Holy Spirit Retirement Home. Funeral services were held
Thursday, May 18, at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake,
with Msgr. Joseph J. Slepicka officiating. Interment was in the
Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake. The family suggests memorials to
the Arnold D. Moeller Memorial Fund.

Arnold was born Nov. 30, 1910, at Harris, Iowa, the son of G.W.
and Hilda (Kruse) Moeller. He graduated from Clear Lake High
School in 1928, attended Mason City Junior College and University
of Iowa.

He married Ruth Anderson on Aug. 4, 1934. Arnold was employed as
manager of the Basket Grocery in Clear Lake before starting the
Moeller Shoe and Clothing business at 313 Main Ave. He served in
the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in
Italy. Arnold retired in 1977 after 42 years in business. During
the next twelve years, he and Ruth spent winters in Fort Myers, Fla.,
and summers at Clear Lake. He was an active member of the Clear Lake
Noon Lions Club for over 55 years and was a member of the Clear Lake
V.F.W. and the American Legion. In 1958, he was Commodore of the
Clear Lake Yacht Club.

He is survived by his son Michael Moeller and his wife, Beverly,
Sioux City, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Mary Moeller, Clear Lake;
six grandchildren, Ann Rickord, John Moeller, Richard Moeller,
Stephanie Moeller, Mark Moeller and Michael Moeller; four
great-grandchildren, Michelle Moeller, Benjamin Moeller,
Andrew Moeller, Brett Rickord; two sisters-in-law,
Phyllis Anderson, Clear Lake, and Delores Beedle, Great Falls,
Mont.; two brothers, Armand Moeller and his wife, Terry,
Minneapolis, Minn., and George Moeller, Fort Worth, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son,
Dr. Steven Moeller; and one great-grandson, Joseph David Moeller.

Organist Marie Faber accompanied soloist Mary Stattleman.

Honorary pallbearers were Harold Thompson, Robert Buck,
Dr. James Hendricks, John Perkins, Bud Hughes, Don Garlock.

Pallbearers were John Moeller, Mark Moeller, Bill Rickord,
Richard Moeller, Michael Moeller, Dr. Mike Fredericks.
