Lois Marie Reicherts, 80, of Clear Lake, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009,
at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

A memorial service for Lois will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 6,
at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 North 4th Street, Clear Lake, with
the Rev. Dennis Ganz officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Clear Lake
Cemetery.

The family of Lois Reicherts has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions be made to the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City
in her memory.

Lois Marie Reicherts was born on Nov. 12, 1928, in Conrath, Wis., the
daughter of John and Jennie (Holt) Costello. Lois moved to Rochester, Minn.,
before moving to Spring Valley, Minn., in 1931, where she attended two different
country schools and Spring Valley High School. Lois worked during the summer
at Rochester, before moving to Minneapolis, Minn., where she worked as a nanny
for eight months. She then returned to Spring Valley where she worked at the
HiWay Café. It was there she met her future husband, Carl. She was united in
marriage to Carl Lee Reicherts on Oct. 2, 1948, at Spring Valley. After their
marriage they moved to Clear Lake.

Lois had a special place in her heart for her nephew, David and wife B.T.
and nieces, Peggy and Sandy. Her life was devoted to taking care of her family.
Her house was always open to family and friends. Lois looked forward to the
4th of July family reunions and picnics. Lois had an adventurous spirit,
traveling to New Zealand, Australasia and Alaska, riding in a hot-air balloon
over New Zealand and climbing a glacier in Alaska in her 70’s, and taking many
trips to Texas.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Ronald (Sue) Reicherts
of Trimont, Minn., Donna Reicherts Hendrick of Mason City, LuAnn Reicherts and
Rodney (Coleen) Reicherts of Carrollton, Texas; seven grandchildren, Travis
Hendrick and Cody Abundis of Clear Lake, Shannon and Sarah Reicherts of
Carrollton, Heather (Ryan) Larson of St. James, Minn., Hilary Baarson of
Fairmont, Minn., and Derek Baarson of Ormsby, Minn.; two great-grandchildren,
Allyson and Jackson Larson of St. James; sister, Ann (Duane) Christianson of
LeRoy, Minn.; two brothers, James Costello of Spring Valley, and Robert Costello
of Dilworth, Minn.; brother-in-law, Elmer (Blanche) Reicherts of Clear Lake; a
sister-in-law, Lorraine Reicherts of Lake Mills, Iowa; several nieces and
nephews; as well as other extended family members and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jennie Costello; her
husband, Carl in 1992; her son, Charles (Chuckie) 1967; and brother-in-laws,
and sister-in-laws.
