ARTHUR PEDERSEN – Funeral services for North Iowa area farmer and butcher Arthur M. Pedersen, 87, of 615 S. 15th St., Clear Lake, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Grarup Funeral Home in Sheffield.
Mr. Pedersen died Friday (Nov. 23, 1984) in a Rockwell nursing home. The Rev. Perry Heller officiated. Burial was in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Swaledale.

He was born Jan. 8, 1897, in the Thornton area to Hans and Kristine Pedersen. He attended rural schools in Thornton. After graduation, Mr. Pedersen worked as a butcher. He married Marie Johansen on Sept. 26, 1917 in Mason City.

They lived in the Thornton area until about 1921 when they moved to the Swaledale area and farmed there. He retired in 1965 and moved to Clear Lake in 1970. Mr. Pedersen lived in Clear Lake until 1983 when he moved to the Rockwell nursing home.

Mr. Pedersen is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Alma Hanley of Clear Lake; three sons, Ervin of Rockwell, John of Swaledale and Robert of Lake Mills; a sister, Anna Neal of Midway, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
