Melbourne "Mel" J. Trampel, 59, of Rockwell, Iowa died Tuesday, Sept. 5,
1995, at his home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 9, at Bethlehem Lutheran
Church, Mason City, Iowa, with the Rev. Frederick J. Wood officiating.
Interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

The family suggests memorials to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Mel was born May 5, 1936 in Klemme, Iowa, the son of John P. Trampel and
Minnie Trampel (nee) Beek. He was baptized in the Immanuel Reformed Church,
Klemme, and confirmed in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mason City. Mel graduated
from Clear Lake High School in 1955.

On Feb. 23, 1958 Mel married Carol J. Kinne at Trinity Lutheran Church,
Algona, Iowa. They lived on a farm near Rockwell for thirteen years, while
farming he also drove a milk truck for State Brand Creamery, Mason City. In
April of 1972 they moved to Fertile, Iowa. Mel went to work at Winnebago
Industries on the production assembly line where he hascontinued to work. They
later moved to rural Clear Lake, Swaledale and then October of 1985 moved
back to the family farm rural Rockwell.

Mel loved wood working, working on the family farm, animals on the farm,
and most of all his grandchildren. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran
Church, Mason City.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Trampel, Rockwell; three children, Debra
Cummingham and her husband, Tom, Forest City, Iowa, Dan Trampel, Rockwell, and
Darla Reed and her husband, Jim, Dougherty, Iowa; two brothers Ronald Trampel
and his wife, Kay, Clear Lake, and Merlyn Trampel and his wife, Nylene,
Rockwell; five grandchildren, Nickolas Cummingham, Jacob Cummingham, Joshua
Cummingham,Matthew Reed and Larry Trampel; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and in-laws, Henry O. E. Reed, Lydia
Kinne and Larry Trampel; and several nieces and nephews.
