Mrs. R. Miller Dies in Hospital – Rites Tuesday, 2:30, At Methodist Church
CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Mrs. Royal Miller, 69, who died at a Mason City hospital
Saturday evening after an illness of three weeks, will be held at the Methodist church
Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. A prayer service will precede at the home southeast of
Clear Lake at 2 o’clock. The Rev. Thomas B. Collins, pastor, will conduct the rites and burial
will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Ward’s funeral home is in charge.

Mrs. Miller was born Ida Whiteman, daughter of George and Mary Whiteman, at Corwith
Feb. 23, 1874. Dec. 21, 1892, at Sheffield, she was married to Royal Miller, who preceded
her in death May 3, 1942. They lived at Windom, Minn., until 1909 when the family moved to the
vicinity of Clear Lake, where they have since resided.

Two children, Burrel and Orin, preceded their mother in death. Surviving Mrs. Miller are
Earl, LeRoy and Miss Elsie at home; Lloyd Miller, Mason City; Mrs. George Kimble and Mrs.
Robert Hanley, Clear Lake, 10 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Schmotzer, Jeffers, Minn.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Royal Neighbors camp of Jeffers, Minn.
