Donna Mae Watson, 74, 101 S. 18th St., Clear Lake, died Tuesday, Dec. 2,
2008 at her home. A graveside service was held Saturday, Dec 6, 10 a.m. at the
Clear Lake Cemetery with the Rev. John Tilp of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church
officiating. According to her wishes, her body has been cremated. Memorials
may be given to the Donna M. Watson Memorial Fund.

Donna was born Aug. 3, 1934 in Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence A.
and Louise (Fank) Wedeking. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1952.
In 1954 she married Kenneth Watson at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Clear
Lake. Donna worked for a number of banks and insurance companies as a
secretary.

She enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, playing cards and especially her
grandchildren. She was a volunteer at Opportunity Village. Donna was a member
of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Donna is survived by three children, Kevin Watson and his wife, Tami,
Denver, Colo., Karen Ollenburg and her husband, Scott, Ventura, and Kurt Watson
and his wife, Holly, Rockwell, Iowa; six grandchildren, Kristina Watson, Denver,
Rex Ollenburg, Ankeny, Iowa, Renee Washburn and her husband, Matt, Northwood,
Iowa, Kya, Kayla and Kurry Watson, Rockwell; sister, Dorothy Schaefer,
Montgomery, Ala.; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Harold
Amundson, Zearing, Iowa.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; and brother,
Larry Wedeking.

Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
