Saturday, July 14, 2012Des Moines - Roger L. ROMIG, 67, of Des Moines, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
He rejoins his beloved wife, Kathy, who preceded him in death in 2009.
A committal service honoring their lives will be held 2 p.m. Monday, July 16, at the Iowa Veteran Cemetery.
Roger was born in Mason City, Iowa, on January 21, 1945, to Harry and Elsie (SCHMIDTT) ROMIG. He served in the U.S. Army, then worked for Dico and later Titan Tire in Des Moines.
Roger is survived by his brother, Larry ROMIG, several nieces and nephews including Wendy KURTH and Becky MADISON; and family friend, Rodlynn REDICK-HARRINGTON with her daughter, Lindsey WEBSTER.
In addition to his wife, Kathy, he was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley COOPER; and two brothers, Jerry and Gary ROMIG.
