Retired Farmer Dies at Home in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH - John R. CLAUS, retired farmer and longtime resident of this community, died at his home here at 7:30 a.m. Friday. He had been ailing for about 3 years, bedfast for the past 4 weeks. He was 81 years old last Saturday.

Mr. CLAUS' wife died about 2 years ago. He is survived by 5 daughters and 1 son.

Funeral services were tentatively set for Sunday afternoon at the Free Methodist church.

NOTE: John was interred at Oakwood Cemetery, Plymouth, Iowa.
