Cpl. Carl J. Claus Rites Held at Plymouth Church.

Funeral services for Cpl. Carl J. CLAUS, who was killed in action at Homsok-Tong, North Korea, June 6, 1952, were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Plymouth. The Rev. C. D. TIESZEN, of the Alliance Tabernacle, Mason City, and the Rev. Roy JOHNSON, of the Free Methodist Church, Plymouth, officiated.

Mrs. Walter WILLIAMS was organist.

Wendell STEVENS and Mrs. Donald TOEPFER sang.

Ushers were Dick SMITS and Lester WURN.

Pallbearers were Thomas PERRET, Virgil CARR, Leslie GRAVERSON, Don GOETSCHIUS, Vernon DAHL and Richard NELSON. Interment was at the Plymouth [Oakwood] cemetery.

Service organizations froM Mason City who met the train Sunday were Veterans of Foreign Wars, Bob LUNDEEN and Dick O'BRIEN, color bearers, and Reece HENDERSON, guard; American Legion, Herb GAFFRI and J. V. WILSON, color guards; DAV, Jack POTTER, color bearer, and Arnold HOVELAND, color guard; Amvets, Shelby FREEMAND and Merle RUSE, color bearers; Floyd PINNEKE and Henry SCHNWALD, color guards.

American Legion Auxiliary color bearers, Mrs. A. E. SMITH, Mrs. Emil JOHANSEN; VFW Auxiliary color guards, Mrs. Charles FISCHER, Mrs. Robert RICH, Mrs. Ray Van NOTE; DAV Auxiliary, Comdr. Laura TERHUFEN.

Pallbearers at the train were Edwin JOHNSON and Don BUSHGENS of the VFW; Comdr. Irvin MOSS and Robert CRAMER of the Amvets, Frank LEE and Henry SPRAU of the American Legion; L. L. WILSON and Tyler STEWART of the DAV.

Sgt. William DAVIS of Toledo, O., was the honor escort.

Attending the services from out of the city were William CARLS, Wakareusa, Kans.; Mrs. M. B. SPEAR, Berryton, Kans.; Mrs. M. E. RICE, St. Clere, Kans.; Mrs. Betty DODSON, Topeka, Kans.; Mrs. Emory JACOBSON, Mrs. Curtis JOHNSON and daughter, Marlene, all of DeKalb, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Dick HAAK, Dell Rapids, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Orton ROGEN, Sherman, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Roy WITT, Mrs. Mildred GOPLERUD, Mrs. Leroy LESCH, Mr. and Mrs. Harold WITT, and Lilia, all of Osage.

The Colonial Funeral Home was in charge.
