Clarke Rites Held Friday at Rockwell; Burial in Mason City

Funeral services for Arthur T. CLARKE were held at Sacred Heart church, Rockwell, Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. L. W. KLASSEN was celebreant of the solemn requiem high mass, with the Rev. John MURTAUGH as deacon, the Rev. Robert ORMSBY as subdeacon, the Rev. Raymond BOHRER as master of ceremonies, and the Rev. E. J. O'HAGAN and the Rev. R. P. MURPHY in the sanctuary.

Members of the American Legion post also conducted ceremonies.

Pallbearers were Tom GALLEGHER, Joe McCAULEY, Evan SMITH, Ed ROEDER, Sam RANKIN and J. B. McGAHERAN. Interment was in St. Joseph's cemetery at Mason City.

The Patterson funeral home was in charge.

Mr. CLARKE is survived by 4 sisters, Mrs. J. F. MANEY and Miss Josephine CLARKE of Rockwell and Miss Virginia and Miss Loretta CLARKE of Minneapolis, and a nephew, Thomas J. MANEY with the armed forces in Germany.
