THERESE CURRAN

MASON CITY — Therese CURRAN, 80, of 150 Winnebago Way, died Sunday (Dec. 10, 2006), at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., with the Rev. Jon SEDA officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with a Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary at 6:30 p.m.

Memorials may be given to the Therese CURRAN Memorial Fund.

Therese was born on Oct. 7, 1926, in Cresco, the daughter of J. Walter and Kathryn Elizabeth (SULLIVAN) MARTIN. She graduated from Holy Family High School in Mason City in 1944. Therese married Charles CURRAN on April 27, 1961 at the Holy Family Catholic Church.

She was an active member of Holy Family where she sang in the church choir, and was a member of St. Therese's Circle and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Therese was also a member of the Cerro Gordo County Republican Party.

Therese is survived by her children, Mary SMITH and husband, Dean, of Mason City, Paul CURRAN and wife, Mary, of Dublin, Ohio, Margaret Ann CURRAN of Appleton, Wis., and Kathryn KUNERT and husband, Randy, of Des Moines; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kristin and Patrick SMITH, and Sarah and James CURRAN; several nieces and nephews.

Therese was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles; two sisters, Madonna Martin Ryan and Margaret Mary HAYES; and a brother, John W. MARTIN.
