FUNERALS

John S. Chapman.

Brief funeral services for John S. CHAPMAN, who died in California March 12, were held this afternoon at the Randall funeral home. Burial was made at Elmwood cemetery.

Mr. CHAPMAN was an old resident of Cerro Gordo county. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. H. BEAVER, with whom he was making his home.

Surviving Mr. CHAPMAN are his daughters, Mrs. W. E. BARNEY and Mrs. W. H. BEAVER of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. H. W. STANBERY of Fort Dodge, and two sones, H. A. CHAPMAN of Osakis, Minn., and Carroll CHAPMAN of Nora Springs.

The Rev. GREEN of the M.E. church at Nora Springs, was in charge of the services.

Out of town relatives who were here for the funeral are Mr. and Mrs. H. S. STANBERY and daughters, Mrs. L. M. SNELL and Dorothy STANBERY of Fort Dodge; H. A. CHAPMAN of Osakis, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. W. H. BEAVER and Mr. and Mrs. W. E. BARNEY of Los Angeles, Calif., and Carroll CHAPMAN of Nora Springs.
