MASON CITY — Christopher "Chris" Daniel BRAMSEN, 25, of Mason City, died Tuesday (Feb. 6, 2007) at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., due to complications of double pneumonia and Legionaires Disease (legionnella pneumonia).
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday (Feb. 12) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Interment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Major Erickson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
He was born Aug. 31, 1981, to Dennis "Butch" and Vicki (FUNK) BRAMSEN in Mason City, where he was raised.
He was very outgoing and enjoyed riding motorcycles, putting together model cars, camping, visiting his parents at camp at the woods and tubing down the river with his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his niece, Sierra HERZBERG. He was so good with her and loved her so much. He also held close a group of friends self named "The Burrito Boys."
He was a member of the Local 67 Iron Workers and a former member of the 8th Texas, Mason City Civil War Unit. He was enrolled in the Iron Workers Apprenticeship program in Des Moines.
His survivors include his parents, Butch and Vicki BRAMSEN of Mason City; a sister, Mandy (BRAMSEN) and husband, Casey HERZBERG, as well as his one and only niece, Sierra HERZBERG; grandparents, Frederick (Fritz) and Marion FUNK, and Geraldine BRAMSEN, all of Mason City; and a special friend, Teresa KRUMM. He is also survived by many, many, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Duane BRAMSEN.
Chris so loved his family and friends. He will be in our hearts forever.
