Mrs. Dougherty* 69, Succumbs (April 26, 1941)
Rites to be held in St. Patrick's church Tuesday morning.

Dougherty- Mrs. D. J. Dougherty of Dougherty,age 69, died at her home in Dougherty at 2:30 Saturday afternoon after a lingering illness.

She was born in West Fork, Franklin County, Feb. 28, 1872. Her husband preceded her in death in 1936.

She is survived by the following; four sons, John of Mason City, Robert and Edward of Dougherty, and Daniel J. of Chicago. Three daughters; Miss Luella of Mason City, Mrs. Leo Geary of Dougherty, and Mrs. Donald Haggerty of Greene. Three sisters, all of Dougherty, Mrs. Barney Dougherty, Mrs. Mike McGee and Mrs. J. H. Abegg.

Four brothers survive, John and Walt Mullen of Dougherty, and Charles and Don Mullen of Mason City. Nine grandchildren also survive.

Requiem High Mass will be held at the St. Patrick's church of Dougherty at 9:30 Tuesday morning. The services will be read by the Rev. E.J. Dougherty of Waterloo. The Rev. J. J. Collins of Dougherty will be in charge of the service. Burial will be in the St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty.
