Mrs. Bernard Dougherty's rites Monday

Requiem High Mass will be celebrated for Ellen E. Dougherty 90, of rural Dougherty, at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dougherty, Father Leander Reicks will be the celebrant.

Mrs. Dougherty died Friday at her home. She was born Dec. 5, 1875, in West Fork Township, daughter of Robert and Ellen (Monahan) Mullen. She attended the rural schools of Dougherty and later taught school in the town of Dougherty.

She was married to Bernard Dougherty at St. Patrick's church in Dougherty.

Surviving are five daughters; the Misses Marie and Edna Dougherty, Mason City, the Misses Gladys and Ann Dougherty, Dougherty, and Mrs. Mike (Vera) Ramker, Greene, and two sisters, Mrs. Mike (Margaret) McKee and Mrs. Sarah Abegg, both of Dougherty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sept. 3, 1952, and by four brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Dougherty was a member of St. Patrick's church of Dougherty,St.Patrick's Catholic Ladies Auxiliary, and St. Patrick's Rosary Society.

Visitation will be at the Dougherty residence in Dougherty until the time of services. A Rosary was scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the residence.

Pallbearers selected are Robert Dougherty, Walter McGee, James Coyle and Virgil, Louie and Martin Mullen. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Dougherty. The Hogan-McGee Colonial Funeral in charge.
